Rotary valves for silo discharge
Reliably discharge bulk material from silos, control the material flow, and safely feed the downstream process.
- Over 100 years of experience
- Made in Germany
- DIN ISO 9001:2015
- ATEX 2014/34/EU
The principle:
- Silo
2. Rotary valve
3. Conveyor Technology
- Frame sizes 100
- 5-32 1/min
- until 3000 daPa
- Materials: Cast iron, steel, stainless steel
Why is the rotary valve important here?
Controlled material flow
Rotational speed and size are matched to the silo, the material being conveyed, and the downstream process.
Exclusion of air
The rotor separates process zones from one another and reduces unwanted air exchange.
Robust construction
Proven designs in cast iron, steel, and stainless steel are available for continuous discharge applications.
Flexible integration
Round and square connections, along with matching drive and sealing concepts, enable integration into existing systems.
Design for silo discharge
- Temperature of the conveyed material ZRS N until 120 °
- Direction of rotation freely selectable
- Suitable for positive and negative pressure operation
- Special rotors and sealing lips available
Custom design
The material to be conveyed, temperature, pressure conditions, design, rotor, and material are determined on a project-specific basis.
Typical conveyed materials / applications
- Grain
- Sugar
- Plastic granules
- lime
- Minerals
- Flour
- Salt
- cement
- plaster
- other bulk materials
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the size selected?
Based on the conveyed volume flow, bulk density, fill level, and rotational speed. The design is tailored to the downstream process.
Which materials are possible?
Depending on the version: grey cast iron EN-GJL-200, S355MC, or stainless steel 1.4301 or 1.4571.
Is operation under positive or negative pressure possible?
Yes, the ZRS-N series is designed for pressure or vacuum operation. Details are adapted to the process.
