Drum screens are mostly used in receiving systems and are used to pre-clean free-flowing products in order to sort out coarse particles such as stones, coarse wood residues, lumps of earth, foreign objects).
The technology is very simple, the conveyed material (if it does not exceed the corresponding mesh size) falls through the screen basket into the outlet. Coarse parts are conveyed into the reject outlet with the help of a spiral and thus do not enter the further process.
The simple design achieves both high throughput rates and maintenance-friendly handling. Downstream machines are protected or relieved by avoidance of malfunctions.
The machine housing is dust-tight and also has an aspiration connection. The system runs almost vibration-free due to the robust design. This means that virtually no vibrations will be transmitted to the building. Customised adaptations are possible, as is the design for ATEX zone 22.
