Screws are always designed for specific applications—tailored to conveying capacity, bulk material, installation conditions, and operational requirements. Whether horizontal or inclined, whether as a metering screw or a pure conveying unit: The goal is to ensure uniform, reliable conveying with minimal wear.
Particular emphasis is placed on robust construction and the selection of suitable materials. Depending on the application, wear-resistant steels or special linings are used to ensure a long service life even with abrasive or demanding materials. At the same time, design features such as easily accessible bearing points or optional cleaning openings enable maintenance-friendly handling during operation.
As with all products, the screw conveyors are manufactured at the Porta Westfalica facility. This minimizes logistics distances, enables close coordination during production, and provides the necessary flexibility for customized customer solutions—from special lengths to specific inlet and outlet geometries.
For applications in potentially explosive atmospheres, the screw conveyors can be supplied in ATEX-compliant designs in accordance with applicable requirements.
ZRS 200 Vu Rotary Valve
Version with polyurethane sealing lips – flexible sealing for demanding processes
The elastic polyurethane sealing lips adapt perfectly to the housing contour, ensuring a reliable seal.
At the same time, direct contact between the rotor and the housing is reduced, which has a positive effect on component service life and noise levels.
Another key advantage is the gentle handling of the product. The material being conveyed does not become trapped between the rotor and the housing but continues to flow smoothly.
Especially with sensitive or fragile bulk materials, the flexible design ensures that mechanical stress is significantly reduced.
Rotary Valve ZRS 160 SR
Efficient, low-maintenance, and practical—the 160 SR rotary valve with quick-clean feature.
With the 160 SR rotary valve, we offer a particularly low-maintenance solution for demanding applications in bulk material handling.
This ensures minimal downtime with maximum operational reliability.
The quick-clean (SR) version enables significantly simplified and accelerated cleaning of the rotary valve—a decisive advantage, especially during product changes, in hygiene-sensitive applications, or with materials prone to caking. Thanks to its design, key components can be accessed quickly without the need for time-consuming disassembly or prolonged downtime.
As is customary at Baumgarten, the 160 SR is also manufactured entirely at the Porta Westfalica plant.
This not only ensures consistently high manufacturing quality, but also provides the flexibility needed
to meet customer-specific requirements—from material selection to custom adaptations to the respective process environment.
The robust design ensures reliable operation even under demanding conditions.
At the same time, the lock is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing plant layouts.
Of course, depending on the application, the rotary valve can also be supplied in an ATEX-compliant version.
